Bio

With a robust foundation in emergency medical services and a comprehensive journey through various nursing specialties, Stephanie Martin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to MedCerts as the Certified Nursing Assistant Program Director. Holding an Associate Degree in Science with a focus on emergency medical services from Forsyth Technical Community College (2009), Stephanie began her healthcare journey as a certified paramedic in North Carolina, accumulating 8 years of valuable experience in emergency medical services. Transitioning to nursing, Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston Salem State University in 2013, followed by licensure as a Registered Nurse the same year. Further advancing her expertise, Stephanie completed a Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2019. Her past work experiences are diverse and encompass specialized training in adult and pediatric emergency care, including graduating from the Wake Forest Baptist ED Academy in 2014. This was complemented by over two years of hands-on experience in an emergency room setting. Stephanie's nursing career spans long-term care, geriatrics, Hospice, pediatrics, and management, with a significant focus on higher education. Prior to joining MedCerts, Stephanie was an associate professor, contributing to both the RN and LPN programs at a local community college, where she played a pivotal role in shaping future nursing professionals. In her current role at MedCerts, Stephanie continues to demonstrate her commitment to healthcare education, guiding aspiring Certified Nursing Assistants with a blend of practical expertise and academic insight.
